Due to growth, DISTek has an immediate opening for an on-site Software Test Engineer located in Des Moines, IA. Primary Responsibilities:

• Responsible for troubleshooting Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) systems.
• Creating and executing test strategies based on requirements.
• Performing analysis and creating comprehensive test reports based on testing results.
• Analyze CAN logs to search for inconsistencies.
• Ensuring quality software and electrical components are developed for off-highway vehicles and vehicles parts.
• Utilizing Simulink, Veristand, and NI LabVIEW software solutions to control HIL systems.
• Interfacing with customers to help develop and meet requirements.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, software, or computer engineering; or related field.
• 1-2 years of demonstrated experience with software testing.
• Experience or understanding of CAN J1939 or other communication protocols.
• Knowledge of Model Based Software Development (MATLAB/Simulink).
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with TestStand and/or NI LabVIEW.
• Ability to work on a team.
• Experience troubleshooting and debugging software.
• Experience with HIL (Hardware in the Loop) or SIL (Software in the Loop) testing.

Desired Qualifications:

• Understanding of electrical systems and schematics.
• Previous experience in the off-highway industry.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Familiarity with embedded C/C++ programming.
