Assistant Golf Course Superintendent
Golf course in West Hartford, Connecticut is looking for an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent.
Position Overview:
The candidate will assist the superintendent in every facet of the management team including recruiting, hiring, training, record keeping, spray and fertilizer applications, and irrigation repairs. The position will be encouraged to attend yearly seminars, conferences, and continuing education opportunities. The goal is to help the assistant to take the next step in their careers, while managing a high-performance team on a daily basis. Current superintendent has moved three assistants to superintendent positions in the last seven years.
Requirements:
Certificate or 2–4-year degree is preferred but not necessarily required.
3–5 years in the turf industry.
Must be able to obtain a CT pesticide license within 90 days of hire.
Compensation:
$85,000 – $105,000 per year.
